Gudauri is known mainly as a ski resort, but the Aragvi valley alongside is one of Georgia's best kayak and rafting locations in spring and summer. Snowmelt from the mountains in May–June creates a strong, clean flow. In July–August the level is lower and routes calmer, but kayak and SUP remain available.
